Lottery...

Firstly, with the famous crisis, everyone wants to win the lottery. There are a lot of unemployed people, who really need money. However, winning the lottery isn´t the answer to our problems, although it is true that can help us. Many families have a lot of problems because of crisis, but sometimes money don´t give the happiness.

The key is to have a lot of lucky. Buying and buying lottery tickets could be a disadvantage, because maybe you never hit the jackpot, and you probably lose a lot of money for anything. On the other hand, if you don´t buy any lottery ticket you won´t have the possibility of win anything either. Moreover, some people waste money on nonsense, and there are many people, who really need to save money. Donate some money to charities, for example, could be a good idea.

I think that it is very important to make the right decision when you have a lot of money. If I won the lottery, firstly I would be in shock, secondly I would shout nervously, thirdly I would burst into tears and finally, when I am aware, I would save money and obviously I would travel a lot.

Adverts in today’s society

It is true that each person is different, some people have more personality than others, but I think that the majority of today´s society, especially young people is influenced by adverts and commercials. When an adult sees an advert does not affect in the same way as young people because young people are more influenced by the style than adults.

Marketing strategy is the main reason why the people buy different products. TV adverts show us the product with special effects or catchy jingles to make an impact. There are a lot of marketing strategies that achieve to persuade the spectator to buy the product. The people remember the song of the advert or your favourite famous person is involved in the advert; these are examples of successful TV adverts. Normally these adverts have an enormous budget to promote a product.

There are a lot of make of products that do not need to have much success in their adverts because they are recognized brands, for example: Adidas, Nike, iPhone…

Furthermore, depend of TV program that we are seeing the adverts are different, that is to say, if we are seeing a football match, normally the adverts will be more interesting for men. However if we are seeing serie, gossip show or cooking programme, the adverts will be more focusing for women, even if we are seeing cartoons, the adverts will be toys and a lot of funny things for children.

Finally, I think that adverts are a good strategy to promote a product and clearly they are a good business. 

Family

Firstly, I have a big family. On the one hand my maternal grandmother had six children, one of them is my mother and each child has had two children, except my aunt who is a nun. On the other hand, my paternal grandmother had two children; one of them is my father.

Although some things I have inherit of my father but I bear a striking resemblance to my mother. She has a youthful appearance, slender waist, wide eyebrows and dark-skinned. She is very responsible and hard-working. Physically I look like to my mother, even we seem sisters. Moreover, personally we are similar in a way although sometimes I fight with her. I am proud to be like her.

In spite of some problems, my family is stable and we are very united. It is true that I feel better with my maternal family, I do not know why, but maybe my personality is more similar to my maternal family and for this reason I feel better with them. It is strange because I live in a flat with my paternal family, for these reason I saw my parental grandparents more frequently, although unfortunately both died.

Finally, I am not only child, I have a sister, but we do not seem sisters because we are very different, she takes after my father. She is younger than me. I always fall out with my sister, fortunatelly, I live in Murcia now, and I go to Caravaca only weekends but when we are together we are fighting. I love her but she is unbearable.

Venice

Venice, which is a city in Italy, is the best place that I have visited, although each place of Italy, for me is beautiful, interesting and special. I went to Italy with my classmates, but I think that we watched a lot of places in a short time, for this, I couldn´t appreciated it as well as I would have liked. So, I have to repeat in other occasion, spend holidays in Italy, for example. Firstly, we arrived to Venice in vaporetto, and then we had free-time for walking around Venice during two hours. This was so extremely striking, because you can see the water in the doors of the houses or a boat ambulance, really breathtaking scenery. Later, when the class was together, we went across Venice in Gondola, this was the best experience. I can´t explain how I felt at that time. When anyone goes in Gondola have a terrific view of Venice. Unfortunately, many people that don´t appreciate the place or simply rude, damp rubbish in the water… But, Venice was the city that I most liked. I hope to return because, in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Gellack´s family

It was three o´clock in the morning when the phone rang. Unfortunately, nobody had heard from Gellack´s family for two weeks.

Andreas, who works in a plumber´s workshop, have not appeared. His boss, at first, was angry with him, but later started to worry about him. Anja, who is the mother, usually goes to the supermarket or goes out with her friends to the coffee shop, but nobody had heard from her. The children, Max and Anina, go to school all days, their classmates are very worry. Furthermore, Max plays in a famous basketball team; he is an important member for this team. The Gellack´s family is very well-known in the city. Everybody is shocked.

One day, at three o´clock, the phone rang, it was Anja. She seemed happy. During two weeks the Gellack´s family had been in Disneyland Paris. Nobody knew anything about this trip. Even, the family had decided to leave their mobiles in the house for cutting themselves off. This was a story to remember.

Michael story...

Michael closed the door and knew at the moment he had made a mistake. He forgot his keys inside. Michael´s brother lives in Benidorm. For this reason, his parents usually decide to go to the beach to visit him. Michael does not like the beach, so he decided stayed at home. Obviously, he prefers to go out with his friends. Before to go, his mother had warned him that he had to be careful with fire and bell. Firstly, he started to see his favorite film with popcorns, of course. When he finished it, he turned on his play station to play “Call of Duty” everything was perfect. Afterwards, he prepared himself to go out with his friends. He was wearing a black sweat shirt, and his read new jeans. Michael was really handsome. Finally, he put on his favorite cologne and was ready to leave. When he closed the door, he remembered that his keys were inside. Unfortunately, he was alone, because his parents were on the beach. During a week, he was living with his best friend, until his parents returned. He had made a big mistake. He will never forget his keys never ever. 

Is it better to have the exams before or after Christmas?

On the one hand, since we start the school year, teachers start to give us all subjects of a course, and then start all exams. In many cases the students have an exam of English on Monday and in the same week other exam of Science on Thursday. In the next week, they follow having more and more exams. Furthermore teachers follow explaining more and more subjects. It is a completely madness for me, but when the Christmas arrive, the students that have passed their exams could have a good Christmas.

However, this year in the University, the students of English Studies have their exams after Christmas during January. On the one hand, it is better because during this month, they only have five days with exams, but the rest of days they do not have to go to University, like this, they can study better. But, on the other hand, they have to pass all Christmas worried and studying a lot to pass their exams. And it is a crap!  

I do not know what could be the solution, or maybe yes, but for the students doing exams is always a problem. The case is complaining about everything. But, the reality is that if the students have the exams before Christmas, they will have exams all weeks and they will have to go to the school at the same time. Although they could enjoy in Christmas. But, if the students have the exams after Christmas, they will have to study during their holidays. To conclude, willy-nilly the students have to do exams when our teachers want, because doing exams is a good tool to evaluate us, although the students are harmed.   

One of my goals

Firstly, when I finish my career ladder I would like to be an English teacher. I have always wanted to teach other all that I know, this profession I love it, but above all I want to learn English very well.

Nowadays, the job market is passing for a difficult situation. There are a lot of people that they want to be doctors, nurses, and teachers but unfortunately in Spain there is not job for everyone. It is the harsh reality. Furthermore, there are a lot of people that have talent for working in a specific profession but others less prepared fill a post. Even others have to go to other countries to work; personally I think that go to other country with Erasmus or simply for learning or tweak other idioms, it is the best idea and the best way for learning, but on the other hand, going to other country a cause of not having work in your own country it is really difficult.

It is absolutely essential to gain experience, for example, if I want to be an English teacher, I have to talk in public without embarrassment, and it is one of the weakest points for me. In addition, I cannot support critique that I can receive from my students. I know that it is normal because one teacher always like you more than others, but I want to like to everyone and I have to learn to support this.

Finally, I will have to work on to achieve my professional goals, of course, but I always make an effort with everything. I think that if there are something that you really like you have to fight for this, until achieve it. And I am sure that I love to teach others and I will fight for this.

 

Christmas

Happy Christmas

December has arrived, is a special month, the last month of the year. All streets and houses start to be decorated, Christmas trees, traditional Christmas songs, families that join together to celebrate these dates. But, we really achieve the purpose of Christmas?

The Christmas, apart from being part of the one of the most beautiful months of the year, is a religious party that we celebrate a cause of the birth of Christ and the New Year. We put a nativity scene in our houses to represent the birth of Christ in a manger. We put a big Christmas tree too. The 25^th of December we celebrate the Xmas day, and this day Santa Claus comes look through the fireplace and he leave gifts aside the tree. The Epiphany gave Christ gold, incense and myrrh, for this reason the 6^th of January, we receive gifts that the Epiphany leave in our houses the night before.

This festivity such as all festivities is a business too. The shops are decorated with a lot of ornaments for attracting to people to buy, because in these dates, people buy a lot of products. Although it is very beautiful celebrate this with family and friends.

In conclusion, Christmas is a very special festivity, but apart from enjoy us, we have to be with people that really need us. The majority of us have family, friends… but, unfortunately, there are a lot of people that cannot celebrate Christmas for different causes and we never remember them. The purpose of each Christmas should be doing happy to those that most need us. To end, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Parents, an important part of our life

There are a lot of injustices in the life. One of them is that conscious or unconsciously we behave worst with people that really love us than with unknown people. Our parents, for example, how many times we discussed with them? How many times we give them one answer that they do not deserve at all? Simply because we have had a bad day or we have had problems with others. It is unfair, I know, but sometimes we cannot avoid.

They deserve the best of our smiles, because we never can pay them all that they do for us. They give us life, they love us without any reason, they leave all for us, and however, we sometimes with a simple word can make them a lot of damage. But, they love us always, whatever we do. 

Kiss them, hug them, simple details that make them happy. They do not want anything else, only love, affection. It is said that we do not know what we have until we lose it. It is true, for this reason we have to give them the best of us every day, because we do not know when they will go. 

In conclusion, we have to give them the best of us, make them happy, because, although one day they will not stay with us, but we have to have our conscience calm because we have been an important part of their lives and they deserve the best wherever they are.

Wherever you go, whatever you do, I will be right here, waiting for you.

And I know more goodbyes at the bus station than the own bus. You're going and this becomes empty.  What I do? What it is without you? I wonder. Nothing, I reply.

I know all these kisses that are given without wanting to be finished. And those that remain in the air when you already have him away.

I know these infinite hug that recharge your energy and continue you keep filling although it out.

I know the eyes of "thanks for everything", and the change "goodbye" with "soon". And what I say of the tears shed at the thought of missing time for the next time. Or remember how happy we were the last days. What I'll tell you.

I know the taste of that "I love you" before leaving, and all this accumulation of feelings, sensations, those that you are only able to live in this station that you hate as much as you want. That gives you fired, but it also gives you welcome.

Yes, I know the fluttering coming when you know it is about to arrive. And the race when you know what comes out. And the smile that it draw on your face when you see him again.

What yes, I know all these. I know the thousand kisses that follow that hug, and the thirst that produces the long conversation.

I even know what it is that you forget everything for a moment. I love the welcome and I always hate goodbyes. I want you to keep in the station. Also, I want to know in the departures and in coming. You do not expect that we are not lucky to be away, because you never will know what is meet our again.

Essay about the plan for our future

In many cases, teenagers do not have clear which are their future plans. They start to study but one day they have to choose between sciences or letters. Some teenagers have it really clear, but many of them do not have idea. Even, who thinks that have clear one option, doubt. It is very important that teenagers do not spend their time, for this they should have clear what they would be in their near future.

The children start to study when they are very young. They have different subject and they have to pass all their exams to pass to other school year. The subjects help to pupils to know which is more easy or more difficult for them. Always there are subjects that you like most and other that you really hate. When they are teenagers they have to choose between sciences or letters, and you have to start to think about: what I would like to be in the future? Nurse, teacher, actress, plumber, mechanic… There are a lot of different options. In some cases, teenagers do not have idea, maybe they are indecisive between some degrees that they like and sometimes teenagers have very clear what are their vocations although always doubt because it is one of the most important decisions that we have to make in our life. A lot of people start their degree and finally discover that it does not like and change. There are a lot of examples but the most important is that we do not spend our valuable time, we have to do something productive for having a good future. The effort of today is the reward of tomorrow.

To conclude, although the majority of people, at first doubt about their future plans but, when we have to make a decision whatever it is, we have to do it the better as possible, giving the better of us, this is the vocation of something. We will feel good with ourselves and our future will be wonderful.

 

TRAVEL FOR WORK - introduction and conclusion

Living in other country with different idiom, culture, people, weather, can be difficult. Being far of the people that really love you. But, sometimes, being in other country is the only option when the majority of people in your own country do not have work. Travel for work nowadays is the best option if you have opportunity.

It is true that is very difficult, but travel for work is a good experience nowadays. Although living in other country, at first is very difficult but when you return you will be other person, more strong, more qualificated, that know how take advantage of the opportunities and learn a lot of new things such as a new idiom because the best way for learning it is travelling to abroad. All that you do today, it will have result tomorrow.

Smoking and drinking

Many young people think that smoking and drinking is essential to have a good time and share happiness with friends because when they do it they don´t know what they do, they aren´t conscious when they are victims of alcohol. Furthermore, they do things which the day after they don´t remember. Can anyone have a good time if later don´t remember anything? It´s impossible. Unfortunately, the majority of modern teenagers don´t be conscious of all these.

In contrast with other countries, in Spain teenagers start to drink or smoke with 14-15 years. It´s an age very difficult, because they aren´t children but neither adults. They want to go to partys and do binge drinking. When they start they aren´t addicted still, even a lot of them smoke or drink only to make friends, to be one more in the group of friends and don´t be the weirdo. A cause of these, teenagers are strangly infuenced by their group of friends. It´s true that the parents are an influence too. Many of them always used to demand high standars of their children without go out for example. When these children go out, they are worst than other children that have gone out more frequently.

As I see it, there are many different ways to stay healthy and to have a good time. “Growing up” means stop being children phisically and mentally of course. Spain must be more strict when sell alcohol to minors. And, finally, everyone must be conscious that our acts in each moment in our life.

Man on the edge

A man on the edge of the death a cause of his problems.

Firstly, he had a job, and he spent a lot of time working. When he arrives to his house with his wife after working, they always argued hardly. This was repeated on day after day. This is a big problem in a couple´s life because little by little the love disappear. The same as, unfortunately, he lost his job. Two major problems: he lost his wife and his job, his life don´t have any sense for him. He has lost the most important in his life. For this, he decides to go to an Hotel, and throw his life away. Suddenly, when a man came on his room, he saw that anybody was inside and moreover the window of the room was open. The man started to suspect and asked for helping. A jumper, a jumper! started to say. The man, who wanted to jump, was about to throw. He thought that throw is the best way to resolve his problems, but he is wrong. It´s true that many times the problems beyond us, and we think that the life don´t have sense. Although there are a lot of ways for solving our problems, for example speak with yout friends, family, even professional people that can help you to solve your problems with other solutions.

The life is too much beautiful for wasting with nonsenses. The problems only are a road full of stones that all people must overcome as best as posible.

Comparison / contrast organisation

The vocalist Johny Rotten is very different to the violoncellist Rostropovich. The both are completely diferent types of music. The first is totaly rock and punk music, madness, hard music, black colours.  The second is classic music, that transmit relax, emotions. Johny Rotten is the vocalist of the Sex Pistols a young group of rock and punk music of London. This group is composed by: the guitarist Steve Jones, the bass guitar Glen Matlock, the drummer Paul Cook and Johny Rotten. Their songs have a strong contents of satirical lyrics. In contrast, the Russian violoncellist Mstislav Leopóldovich Rostropóvich has got other style of music. He hasn´t got a group, because he plays the violoncello. He had among fifty or sixty years when he played. Although Johny Rotten and Rostropovich are completly different, but they have got some in common: the music. However, they transmit different emotions to the people that hear their music.

  

Love history...

Four years full of love, experiences, madness, some tears, but a lot of smiles. She didn´t know how a stranger person can become so important for her. She was fourteen years, really young girl, but the love comes when you least expect. At first, she felt butterflies in her stomach each time that she saw him. One year, two years with him, they had full confidence among them. Almost all days they went out for being together. The exact word isn´t routine, I hate this word. For her, spend time with him was fantastic, she needed has got him near to tell him all things that she had gone during the day. But one day, he told her that he had to go to Germany during three years, she was quiet. She knew that the distance would be difficult, but she told him that whatever happens expected.  It´s very hard, although nowadays there are a lot of technologies, but she needs touch, kiss, hug, caress, have him very near… Now, he is in Germany since July, he will come at Christmas… but I´m sure that if he is the ideal person for her, they will be together always, despite the distance.

MOBILE PHONES

Opinion paragraph - mobile phones

Nowadays, the mobile phones are a vice for the actual generation. Being with your friends or your family speaking by the mobile don´t be unusual, it´s very normal, because having WhatsApp, who need to speak face to face? It´s ridiculous. The mobile phone is a part of our body, with him we go to any place, even to a bath. This is the problem, for example being in the class with the WhatsApp and then said: “Oh, what the teacher said?”  is very common among the young people, or even cross a street looking the mobile. The people must be conscious of a vice that we have with the mobile phones.

The mobile phones have a lot of advantages too, because with them you can call, send sms, WhatsApp, search on the Internet a lot of things… Even, you can talk with people wherever you are, in the moment that you want. The computers have lost importance because a mobile phone has all applications that we need, even is more small and you can put it in any site.

Finally, I hope that the next generation is more aware, although it´s very difficult because the new technologies improve day a day.

William Somerset Maugham was a Britain writer, author of novels, essays, short stories and plays. He was considered the most popular and highest paid writer in the world. During sixty years, he wrote most of one hundred stories and twenty-one novels, furthermore many theatrical pieces, biographys, trips books and essays.

I imagine that write a novel is difficult, planning, writing and revision. I don´t like writing anything, because I don´t have imagination, but now I have to write things in my blog. William, who was a famous novel writer, said that no one knows what rules are necessaries for writing a novel, for this I think that anyone writer of novels have a talent. 

 

ONE SECOND

“Carpe diem” because one second can change our life. It´s difficult, but in any moment the death can knock to the door. It´s important that we make the most of every second doing all things that make us happy. Let your hair down, be happy, do you madness, enjoy, travel, run, fly, don´t stop.  That nobody can say: I´m regretful for don´t doing that I really like… but, you´re on time for changing. I know that sometimes it´s very difficult to know if you´re making the best decision or not, but I think that we always must guide us by the heart. Don´t let you that the time pass, each second is essential.

Describing...

A beautiful beach of wherever part of the world. Probably, the weather is cold. It´s too windy, for this, there are a lot of waves.

The water splash the rocks, although it doesn´t seem rocks, these seem wood. It´s dawn and the sound of the waves must be strong. I would like to be there, because I prefer to be on the beach, it´s clear for me that I hate the mountains.

The waves bring closer to the seashore. This place make me feel relax and peaceful without so much waves.

The university life

"These years will be incredibles", "enjoy, study a lot..." typical words that the people say you before start and you at the bottom think: "Oh, my God"

Firstly, we finish University entrance exam, then we have our access note to University. Many doubts in our head because we have to choose a career. In my case, for example, I was sure that I wanted to do a magister career, but I love English and I would like speak it perfect, for this reason, I decided that English studies were the best option for me. Furthermore, in the future, I could be an English teacher. The first days all is very different, new teachers, new house, new people, definitely a new life. But I´m going to fight for this because it´s really like.

I hope that I have chosen well and learn a lot of new thing. Start my university life!!

SOME BEAUTIFUL CITIES AROUND MY COUNTRY

I´ll talk about some famous cities, which I think that are the most beautiful and visited.

Firstly, my country is Spain, whose capital is Madrid. Madrid is one of the most beautiful cities, where you can visit a lot of differnt and famous places such as “Bernabéu” football pitch or the “Prado” Museum among others. Flowers, colour, hapiness, music, history… Andalucía has a special colour. Valencia is the science city, with famous places too. Santiago de Compostela is a well-known city by millions of pilgrims who visit it each year. “Sagrada Familia”, “Camp Nou”… Barcelona is very interesting, also it is one of the largest cities. Finally, my favourite city is Murcia, where I live now. Murcia is a small city compared to others Spanish cities, but I like it.

These are some cities around my country, although there are others beautiful cities.
